In addition to this software’s you need to know what other software is there in the market. You need to learn those as well. Because there are many clients who have specific requirements.
They will tell you which software to use, the style of editing they are looking for and so on. Just because your training is over and you have become a certified video editor does not mean that your learning is over. You have to constantly go on upgrading your skills and expertise so that you can work on the latest infrastructure.
Always maintain the quality of work you do. In this competitive world, only those video production professionals are going to survive who will offer high quality work all the time. If you compromise with the quality of work, you will lose out on valuable customers. This is a risk that you simply cannot take. Hence don’t lower the quality of work done.
Keep in mind that quality of work and the deadline to delver the project is inter-related. So if the client is pressurizing you to submit the work within a short span of time and you know to do that your quality of work will suffer then do the client know in written. Drop a mail to him where you need to clearly explain everything in details to him. In the future, if he raises any question on the quality of work submitted, you can always show the email. It is important to keep everything documented from the beginning.
